Trastorno histriónico de la personalidad - Overview

Definición:

Es una afección en la cual las personas actúan de manera muy emocional y dramática que atrae la atención hacia ellas.

Causas:

La causa de este trastorno se desconoce. Se piensa que los acontecimientos de la primera infancia y los genes contribuyen a su desarrollo. Se presenta con mayor frecuencia en mujeres que en hombres, aunque se puede diagnosticar más a menudo en las mujeres, debido a que llamar la atención y tomar la iniciativa sexual son socialmente menos aceptables para el género femenino.

El trastorno histriónico de la personalidad generalmente comienza en la primera infancia.
